Family Dentistry, the dental office of Dr.
Susan G. Durgapersad, where, above all, we believe in
preventive dentistry, listening to our patient’s needs and
creating healthy, beautiful, smiles that will last a
lifetime for the entire family.
HOW WOULD WE DESCRIBE OUR OFFICE
team is committed to your total health care. We are
sensitive to your emotional and physical health needs.
Patient education is important in providing the highest
levels of preventive, restorative and aesthetic care in
conjunction with preventing oral disease. Our mission in
dentistry is personal care and building relationships with
our patients for a lifetime.
recognize that, for most people, going to the dentist is low
on the list of fun things to do. Some patient’s like to
lose themselves in our smooth, relaxing, messaging dental
chair while they are being taken care of by the dentist.
DOCTOR PATIENT RELATIONSHIP
adults and children of all ages, and we’re glad tow watch
families grow and count our patients as true friends.
YOU SHOULD EXPECT FROM YOUR DENTIST AND STAFF
you need a dentist, you want one who takes the time to be
gentle, thorough and careful. That’s exactly the way I have
built this practice! When you first meet the doctor, it is
always a good sign if you are able to do most of the
talking. Who knows you better than…you!! Your needs and
concerns are very important to us and we are here to
listen. We know how valuable your time and money are to
you; that’s why our goal is one-time appointments. In some
cases, if your dental treatment cannot be completed in one
visit, a second appointment will be immediately available.
When is your child due for his or her first
visit to the dentist?
start a child’s first dental checkup at the age of 6
months. Good habits start early. It is important to
understand that primary teeth can have cavities and need to
be treated just like adult teeth. Primary teeth are
important as space holders until your child’s permanent
teeth come in—don’t let your child’s smile be compromised.
Just as your oral health is part of your whole body health,
so it your child’s.
Why is diet and nutritional counseling
important for your baby?
and nutrition play an important role in your child and in
you having a healthy, beautiful teeth. Our office is a
place where you can come with your questions so that we can
help you and help your child develop a full set of teeth
someday that will be just as beautiful as those small,
precious teeth you watched appear one by one.
